What's The Job?
We’re building Palette, our Kubernetes management platform designed for technical practitioners—platform teams, DevOps engineers, and system administrators running Kubernetes at scale across cloud and on-prem environments.
We’re looking for a Product Manager – Cloud & Kubernetes to join our product team. This role emphasizes strong execution—turning defined cloud priorities into high-quality, shipped product in close partnership with engineering.
You’ll work closely with the Cloud PM lead, who owns the overall cloud roadmap and prioritization, to execute on agreed priorities and ensure reliable delivery across cloud providers and Kubernetes environments.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, technically strong PM who enjoys digging into details, collaborating deeply with engineers, and shipping meaningful improvements for real users.
What You'll Work On
Palette supports Kubernetes on both IaaS and managed Kubernetes services, including:
Public cloud on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
Managed Kubernetes: EKS, AKS, GKE
On-premises with vSphere, Nutanix, CloudStack, Canonical MAAS
Built on Cluster API (CAPI)
You’ll work across these environments to ensure a consistent, reliable, and scalable Kubernetes experience.
What You'll be Responsible For
Owning the end-to-end execution of cloud-related features—from clear requirements and well-structured user stories to delivery and release readiness.
Partnering with the Cloud PM lead, who owns the overall cloud roadmap, to execute on agreed priorities.
Managing and prioritizing the backlog, and working day-to-day with engineering to clarify requirements, unblock execution, and ensure high-quality delivery.
Ensuring features work consistently across multiple cloud providers and managed or self-managed Kubernetes environments.
Supporting releases and adoption through feature descriptions, documentation inputs, demos, and collaboration with Field, Support, and Customer Success.
What You'll Drive
Detailed product and feature definitions
User stories and acceptance criteria
Cloud and Kubernetes UX improvements
Ongoing refinement of PM–Engineering collaboration and processes
About You
You LOVE technology because you’re curious, and you enjoy working close to the details—especially when it comes to complex infrastructure systems like Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
You’ll do well in this role if you have:
3–7+ years of product management experience, ideally with infrastructure or platform products
Hands-on understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
Experience working with two or more cloud platforms (ideally one public and one on-prem), such as:
Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Managed Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE)
Virtualization or on-prem platforms (vSphere, Nutanix, etc.)
Ability to work deeply with engineering teams on technical topics
A strong execution mindset—comfortable owning details and driving things to completion
High attention to detail and structured thinking
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote, distributed team
A customer-first mindset, even when working on platform or internal-facing features
Nice to Have
Experience with Cluster API (CAPI)
Professional Degree or relevant working experience
Experience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud environments
Kubernetes certification (CKA / CKAD)
Prior experience in an execution-focused or inbound product management role
Exposure to or participation in CNCF Special Interest Groups (SIGs), working groups, or open-source communities is a plus.
We don’t expect candidates to check every box, but if you’re excited about driving the future of Kubernetes platforms, we encourage you to apply!
What You’ll Gain
An opportunity to work with experts in Kubernetes management, infrastructure and edge orchestration.
Be part of a highly technical work culture where it’s encouraged to experiment, build proofs-of-concept, and demonstrate their value to the business.
High exposure to senior product, engineering leadership, and company founders.
