Who We Are Seeking
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to support Spectro Cloud’s next phase of growth. The ideal candidate should enjoy a mission-driven, fast paced environment where the work directly impacts the organizational growth.  The candidate should have a variety of skills and knowledge about the basic workings of a business and feel confident using those skills on a daily basis.  

What You Will Do

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of all commission plans across the sales organization and be able to effectively communicate calculations and rationale

• Calculate and validate monthly variable earnings accurately and on time according to current compensation plans

• Maintain commission tools and reference data, including employee and commission plan information to accurately pay variable commission; regularly update relevant systems consistent with plan objectives

• Lead and facilitate a tight month-end close process including prepaids, commissions, payable accruals, equity accounting, lease accounting, accounts reconciliations, and management reporting

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Provide ad hoc financial and analytic support as requested to support management and/or external audit requests

• Have operating experience in Netsuite and Google Suite; advanced MS Excel skills
  
  

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• 5 - 8 years of Sales Compensation, Sales Operations or Accounting experience, including experiences in commission automation

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large data sets

• Ability to think creatively and critically, and thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous work environment

• Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and the initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time

• Effective communication and analytical skills, be team oriented, and have confidence in collaborating with colleagues at all organizational levels

• The ability to be comfortable with the organized chaos of a fast scaling startup environment is a key determinant of success in this role 

• SaaS experience is required

• Degree in accountancy or other equivalent qualifications. CPA is preferred.

• Solid accounting knowledge, meticulous and detailed oriented

• Systems skills, with experience in cloud-based financial systems and tools such as Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar
