Who We Are
Spectro Cloud aims to make infrastructure boundary less for the enterprise, from the data center to the edge and every platform in between. We empower organizations to run Kubernetes their way, anywhere — delivering consistency, security, and operational excellence across diverse environments.
Founded by industry veterans with a history of building successful multi-cloud management solutions, we are backed by top-tier investors and driven by a relentless focus on customer value. At Spectro Cloud, we believe in hiring experts who thrive in solving hard problems and shaping the future of cloud-native infrastructure.
What’s The Job?
Spectro Cloud is redefining how enterprises and public sector organizations manage and scale Kubernetes across secure, mission-critical, and edge environments through our Palette platform. As we expand our presence in government and regulated industries, we are seeking a Principal Architect for Public Sector to drive the adoption, architecture, and enablement of secure Kubernetes-based solutions across federal, defense, state/local, and education sectors — as well as international government entities with stringent compliance requirements.
This is a senior technical leadership role that bridges customer missions, product innovation, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Kubernetes, security, and compliance frameworks with the ability to guide complex architectural programs from design to production.
1. Technical Enablement & Mentorship
Mentor Solutions Engineering (SE) and Technical Account Management (TAM) teams supporting public sector and regulated industry accounts.
Develop enablement programs, architecture patterns, and compliance-aligned playbooks for government deployments.
Create internal knowledge artifacts (whitepapers, reference architectures, wikis) on topics such as secure Kubernetes lifecycle management, air-gapped operations, and FedRAMP alignment.
Uplift the technical acumen of field teams through enablement workshops and architecture reviews focused on mission-critical systems.
2. Innovation & Thought Leadership
Design and prototype secure, compliant Kubernetes and edge architectures optimized for classified or disconnected environments.
Develop reference architectures and reusable components for regulated workloads, emphasizing high availability, zero-trust security, and policy-based automation.
Explore and validate emerging technologies for sovereign cloud, edge AI, and defense-grade infrastructure orchestration.
Represent Spectro Cloud in industry and government forums, thought leadership panels, and technical conferences related to public sector modernization.
3. Product & Engineering Influence
Act as a trusted technical advisor to Spectro Cloud’s product and engineering teams, translating mission requirements into roadmap features.
Influence product direction for compliance features, including FedRAMP, DoD IL5+, FIPS 140-3, and CMMC alignment.
Lead early adoption pilots for secure Palette deployments across federal and regulated environments, ensuring operational readiness.
Provide actionable feedback loops from field experience to inform secure image pipelines, access controls, and hardened cluster operations.
4. Strategic Field Support
Provide hands-on architectural guidance for complex and high-stakes public sector engagements, ensuring mission assurance and compliance.
Partner with system integrators, defense contractors, and government program offices to deliver secure Kubernetes and edge computing solutions.
Lead customer discovery to translate operational and compliance challenges into scalable, production-ready architectures.
Support proofs of concept, validation exercises, and technical assessments for critical deployments — from tactical edge to multi-region cloud.
What Team Will You Work With?
You’ll be part of a cross-functional organization that operates at the intersection of product strategy, customer success, and technical innovation.
This team serves as Spectro Cloud’s technical vanguard — shaping how Palette is adopted across complex, regulated, and large-scale environments. You will collaborate closely with:
Solutions Engineering and Technical Account Management (TAM) teams to mentor, co-design architectures, and support key customer engagements.
Product and Engineering teams to translate mission needs into secure, scalable capabilities that advance Palette’s platform.
Go-to-Market (GTM) and Partner Alliances teams to enable public sector partners, integrators, and agencies.
Fellow Principal Architects across domains (AI, Edge, Cloud) to build unified architectures and reference frameworks for the field.
This is a highly visible, strategic role — providing you with direct influence over both Spectro Cloud’s technical roadmap and how the public sector leverages Palette to deliver on critical missions.
