Principal Product Manager - Edge Kubernetes
If your idea of fun includes remote Kubernetes clusters and edge cases, this one’s for you. Lead the Edge area at a serious K8s platform solving real-world infra challenges.
About Us
Spectro Cloud is a Series C startup transforming how enterprises manage Kubernetes. Our Palette platform empowers platform teams to run and scale Kubernetes clusters across data centers, clouds, and edge environments—without the Day 2 operational headaches.
We’re backed by leading investors and built by a team of multi-cloud management experts and industry veterans with a proven track record of success. We are passionate about solving hard infrastructure problems and delivering real value to customers.
As we grow, we’re expanding our product team to accelerate innovation in strategic areas like Edge Kubernetes. Our mission: make enterprise infrastructure boundaryless—from data center to edge and everywhere in between.
What's The Job?
We are building Palette, our Kubernetes management platform designed for technical practitioners—platform teams, DevOps, and system administrators. You’ll dive deep into their challenges, understand their workflows, and translate those insights into impactful features that help them manage Kubernetes at scale—without the pain.
This means you need to be technical, speak their language, and be hands-on with Kubernetes, so you can shape the features that will make the biggest difference.
We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the Edge product area. You’ll own the roadmap for how enterprises manage Kubernetes clusters and applications at the Edge, where performance, simplicity, and security must operate in harmony—even in constrained, network-limited, remote environments. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on company strategy and customer outcomes.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Defining and executing the product strategy for Edge computing within Palette.
- Understanding user pain points across edge-heavy verticals like retail, telco, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineering to design solutions that address operational continuity, access control, security, auditing, usage insights, and the unique networking challenges of distributed edge environments.
- Driving the full product lifecycle from the edge area point of view—from discovery and design to delivery and GTM.
- Collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, Field Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing.
What you'll drive:
- Roadmapping and product strategy
- User stories, persona definitions, and feature discovery
- Feature delivery, enablement, demos, and training
- Field updates and competitive analysis
- User experience improvements
- Engineering and PM process enhancements
- Cross-functional alignment on product growth
📍 This is a remote-first position open to candidates residing in the United States and Canada.
About You
You LOVE technology because you’re curious, and you thrive building amazing products that are a joy to use, even with complex technologies such as Kubernetes.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit, fun, and driven product and engineering team, bringing your product management expertise and Kubernetes technical skills to shape the future of Spectro Cloud. We work as a team, and we are overall responsible for the Spectro Cloud product offerings.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Product management experience with infrastructure or cloud-native products.
- Deep experience in Kubernetes and Edge computing (e.g., constrained environments, remote cluster management, zero-touch provisioning).
- Hands-on technical skills and willingness to dive deep with engineers.
- Proven success in high-growth, fast-paced environments with distributed teams.
- Empathy for users and a data-informed approach to product decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills (both written and oral), ability to influence across teams.
- Technical curiosity and a willingness to get hands dirty when needed.
- A proven ability to build and evolve product and engineering processes.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Comfort stepping in and covering for others when needed.
Nice to have:
- Experience with networking (SD-WAN, SASE), DevOps, or edge fleet operations.
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD) is a plus.
- A computer science or engineering background.
- Experience in retail/telco/manufacturing environments.
We don’t expect candidates to check every box, but if you’re excited about driving the future of Kubernetes platforms, we encourage you to apply!
